Taelor Gray, In The Way Of Me

Taelor Gray, In The Way Of Me (Self-Released) - February 24, 2017

Releasing a Pledgemusic duo album with his gospel-centric soul singing brother Christon Gray a couple weeks ago didn't slow this up and coming rapper down at all. The follow-up to his breakout record The Mocker and The Monarch, this new record is another solid 10 tracks of soul, R&B, and pivotal hip-hop with forceful lyrical content, designed to make you think twice about your life. Featuring his brother as well as stellar production from some of the best up and coming hip-hop producers in the game, a standout cut is "Me Verses Me", which features Swoope, Kishon Furlow and Kai. Mesmerizing beats abound, and the content is keeping it 100 across the board.

Moire, No Future

Moire, No Future (Ghostly International) - February 17, 2017

This record is quite a techno-styled experimentation with fantastic sounds and elements to make it a must listen. I was really impressed with this record as soon as I turned it on, since it's not your typical dance record. Very gradient and organic, I've always loved Ghostly International's artists because they make music that is more creative, than programmed like your standard dance and electronic music. Moire has created a certain strand of avant-garde, mixing it with some funk and a dash of futuristic, dystopian feeling. The result is a flowing mix of stories and song from the future.

Amber Run, For A Moment I Was Lost

Amber Run, For A Moment, I Was Lost (Easy Life Records) - February 10, 2017

An indie-rock gem from the British band, Amber Run's second full-length is an easy-going, yet powerful record of passionate tracks. The lo-fi sound matches perfectly with their brand of cinematic pop, and the production is low key enough that it doesn't distract. You'll probably hear some of these cuts in upcoming films throughout 2017.

Krum, Blue Eyed Devil

Krum, Blue Eyed Devil (Self-Released) - February 3, 2017

Krum (formerly Playdough of DeepSpace5 and solo rap fame) releases his second album underneath his new persona. Keeping the same classic hip-hop style he's always had, Krum adds a new element to his new solo material, giving new dimensions of sound to the beats and lyrical content. A little electronic, a little pop, but completely soul and hip-hop, this is definitely a veteran who's hit his stride.
